Volunteers Needed
A committed and growing group of volunteers keep Big Footers Soccer running. These individuals donate substantial time during the season so that our kids are able to play soccer. They could use your help. Please use the contact form if you are ready to volunteer your time or to ask questions about the positions or the workload involved.
The areas of greatest need:
- Field Maintenance
- Club volunteers lay out all the soccer fields and paint them weekly. The weekly painting takes one person about 2 hours. The layout takes significantly longer and requires 3-4 people. We could certainly use some more bodies.
- Coaching
- Please consider this extremely important job if your child is playing soccer. There is training available from the state, assistance from experienced coaches, and mentoring from Big Foot High School varsity boys coach Keith Blakeman. You will not be on your own.
- Team Management
- Each team needs a manager. The manager is responsible for organizing team logistics in cooperation with the coach. This reduces the coach's workload and frees the coach to focus on teaching soccer to the players. This position requires no knowledge about soccer.
